Human Rights Education is a new addition in the Criminology Curriculum under Criminal Law and Jurisprudence pursuant to the Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order No. 05, series of 2018. This textbook aims to educate students taking up the law enforcement course of the basic concepts, philosophies, and principles concerning human rights from both local and international perspective. It likewise seeks to challenge the students on current issues and trends in the form of activities consistent with the outcomes-based methodologies. Toward this end, a criminology graduate intending to serve as an agent in the law enforcement arm of the government will be knowledgeable about the basics of human rights.
